Surprisingly, the UK has seen a bout of hot weather recently. Luckily for those who are able to get out and enjoy the sun, but for some, they are stuck working inside. Oh the joys!
Working in the office isn’t all bad, however when it is hot outside it can also become pretty annoying inside. In this blog, we’re going to share some top tips for keeping cool in the office this summer.
- Keep the blinds or curtains drawn
Granted, you may want to enjoy as much of the sun as possible but sometimes blocking out the light also means blocking out the heat. Even if you close them slightly, it will make a whole world of difference.
- Turn off heat-generating objects
Turn off any electrical items that aren’t being used such as light. This will not only reduce the heat in the room but also how much electricity you consume.
- Personal fans
Getting your own fan is an investment that will go a long way, particularly if your office doesn’t have air-con. Why not check out our clip on desk fan here.
- Keep hydrated
This may sound obvious, but a lot of office workers tend to forget that being sat at your desk for most of the day doesn’t mean you’re not quickly dehydrating. Drink as much water as possible to stay hydrated and cool. You can view our bottled water here.
